IT’S ALL ABOUT GOOD GUT HEALTH – sound advice from Integrated Health guru.

Recently, Hirsch’s Ballito in conjunction with the Ilembe chamber, hosted the monthly Women in Business Networking morning at Canelands Hotel with Integrated Health Specialist, Dr Hennie Palm as Guest Speaker.   These monthly events have become popular fixtures on the Ballito calendar,  allowing  women from different walks of life in business – and generally –  to get to know one another in a relaxed environment.  The Get U Noticed team  enjoyed the morning – and  the great advice from Palm.

Dr. Hennie Palm is one of the few certified Integrated Health Practitioner’s in KZN and is also a  Clinical Psychologist.  He told his captivated audience that the two most neglected parts of the body are the gut and the brain, and explained how important it was to keep both healthy to prevent stress build up – and digestive tract problems.  “So often we take our health for granted, without realising what effects certain foods have on us.  Food is like a software programme. –  eat the wrong food and the result will be endless internal issues, from heartburn and indigestion – to chronic disease. Eat fresh, organic food, grass fed meat and free range eggs – and you won’t go wrong. We also need to understand that stress is the body’s  physical and emotional  response to change ” He said.

The winner of the monthly Margaret Hirsch Woman in Business Achiever Award was Dr Sham Alley who runs her own Aesthetics and Anti Ageing clinic in Ballito. She was not able to collect her award on the day.

The next women in business morning will take place at Hirsch’s Ballito. The event is free of charge. For more information, contact Danielle on Danielle@hirschs.co.za or 032 946 7400.
