WORLD SLEEP DAY CREATES FUND RAISING OPPORTUNITY AT HIRSCH’S

 

WORLD SLEEP DAY HILLCRESTGET U NOTICED was instrumental in getting a fantastic activation off the ground for the Hirsch Group recently.  World Sleep Day fell on March 11 – a little known fact by many ;).  Sleep is such a major part of our lives, however that it was worth putting emphasis on how important it is for our physical health. Amongst other things, it heals and repairs the body and the mind, and plays a major part in keeping them healthy.

“What we have found, when we visit underprivileged  pre-schools in the areas in which we operate is that the children don’t have anywhere to sleep during their lunch break-time.  Most stay on until the evening when their parents pick them up, and that midday sleep is vital for them. We wanted to fix that.” Said Get U Noticed’s CEO Glenda Thompson.

Hirsch’s sells an amazing range of great beds and mattresses and this was the community – fun driven, COMMUNITY BASED idea that the Get U Noticed, Hirsch PR and Cloud Nine and Rest Assured  team came up with to celebrate World Sleep Day.. .   To see how many learners could fit onto one queen size bed for at least 30 seconds. Each Hirsch branch roped in a local school to get involved.  The school that managed to fit the most pupils on a bed would win ten sponge mattresses – which would be donated to an underpriviledged pre school in each region in which Hirsch operates.  –

The winning team?  At the time of going to press, it looked as tho Hillcrest would be the winners with over 60 kids crammed on to a Cloud 9 Queen sized mattress (needless to say, a slight amount of sag was noticed post cram on!)
