The Elephant Ignite expedition team of ten fearless women heading out into Africa to help bring awareness to the plight of the Elephant, is gearing up for their three month trip from KZN through to Kenya!
The team leaves on August 9 – appropriately, it’s Women’s Day, and as women, they are not taking their safety for granted! They recently attended a workshop on what to do when faced with anything of a dangerous nature – from armed men, to charging wildlife. The course was held by BGA Bodyguard Agency in Durban North. Some great tips that the Get-U-Noticed team took from the workshop: Be Proactive; avoidance is better than confrontation; constantly practise the “What If” scenario; Make safety an integral part of your life.

The team leaves from Sibaya Casino on the Tuesday. G.U.N will join them on the 28th!
