HAPPINESS IN LIFE EQUALS SUCCESS IN BUSINESS.

Happiness!  We all aspire to be happy and it stands to reason that if we are happy with who we are, our lives will be lighter, brighter and more cheerful and our businesses will thrive! Mark Sham, a well-travelled  entrepreneur, writer and speaker and the  founder and CEO of Suits & Sneakers a company that helps people become better versions of themselves, waxed lyrical on the subject of happiness at the recently held ENTREPRENEURS WORKSHOP anchored by  multi-award winning business woman,  Margaret Hirsch and business coach, Marlene Powell who is in the top 100 business coaches in the world with Action Coach.

The workshops (a Get U Noticed initiative) are held on a weekly basis and have been a boon to entrepreneurs from around the country over the last two years.  This week’s event saw over 3000 people follow the hour long informative and interactive session, either on Facebook Live (on Margaret Hirsch’s page) or Zoom.

Mark pointed out that the reason that people are unhappy is because of the complex society that we live in. “Happiness should not be taken for granted, in fact we should study happiness at school. No one teaches us how to be happy. No one teaches you how to have a positive relationship with yourself or with other people.  Several pointers that will help towards making you a happier version of yourself include prioritizing sleep;  finding a way to slow down to speed up (meditation helps);  Eat correctly and train consistently. Spend time on becoming more self aware. Create value for others”

Giving her viewpoint on happiness, Marlene pointed out that our whole lives are a reflection of who we are. She pointed out that the most successful and happy  business owners are people who had found a balance between their passion for what they do, coupled with a grasp of how to run their business efficiently, and having someone to guide them with the day to day running of a business is vital.

Margaret, who holds morning motivation sessions with her staff every day said that goal setting is an important part of building a happy, healthy self image and putting together a vision board helps with setting one’s long term goals. “Don’t chase money if you want to be happy.  Find joy in what you do and the money will follow!”  she said.

Join Margaret and Marlene on March 19 when Money Matters will be under discussion with guest speaker, Ronel Jooste a multi-award-winning entrepreneur who started the FinanciallyFit Group specializing in financial consulting and training. She is the author of the award-winning book ‘Financially Fit and Wealthy’.
