Hosts of the Entrepreneur’s Workshops that are held every Friday between 11 and 12, award winning business woman and Executive Director of the Hirsch Group, Margaret Hirsch and top business coach with ActionCOACH, Marlene Powell, were excited to welcome best selling author and Human Potential and Parenting Expert, Nikki Bush to their latest workshop as Guest Speaker for her talk on Learning to Leverage.

Nikki, who does regular presentations on FM702 explained that “Learning by doing” is what being an entrepreneur is all about. She said that time should never be the enemy for the entrepreneur.  She fell into the trap of keeping all the work to herself, thinking that she didn’t have the cash flow for an assistant.  However once she employed a virtual PA her business catapulted. Nikki, who said that she is continually sharpening her skills and never stops learning explained  “The only people who keep you small is you. Do things that are more aligned to who you are. Create meaningful experiences.  Craft your niche in a memorable way to get your business out there.”

Margaret added that associations with people are vitally important and if business owners want to remain successful, they need to “sharpen their axe to move forward.” Marlene asked attendees if their environment was conducive to their performance potential. “Are you going in the right direction? Don’t try and do things on your own if it ends up making your business your life.  This is never a healthy situation to be in and I have seen, from my own clients perspective, that spending more time working on their business and not specifically IN the business, makes for a healthy situation all round – both in the business and on the personal front.”
