WOMEN IN BUSINESS NETWORKING WORKS!

ILEMBE GALA DINNER.
Every month Hirsch Branches around the country host a Woman in Business networking event and present an award to a deserving business woman in the area. I recently attended the Ilembe Chamber Gala Dinner and was delighted to see many of the Ilembe Chamber, Margaret Hirsch Woman in Business Finalists at the dinner. I was also very excited to meet a champion of Womens Rights, Dr. Albertina Luthuli, the eldest daughter of Nobel Prize winner, the late Chief Albert Luthuli.
Also attending was the Regional winner of the Award for 2016, Vino Govender who said that her business had never looked back since she won the award last year. She has gone on to win several more awards since. This is exactly the knock on effect that Margaret Hirsch, who started the competitions around the country, wanted to see. She has been thrilled to see the growth in the Women In Business sector in South Africa – acknowledging outstanding women in the workplace is one of many ways to help women grow in a male dominated society.
