JOIN P4P TO HELP KEEP OUR WATERWAYS CLEAN!
June 3 2017 is an auspicious day for our ailing planet. It is the day that paddlers from around the globe hold a paddling relay in each of their respective countries in order to raise funds and awareness for the waterways around the world that are being severely clogged with litter and debris – putting our lives and animal life as well as the sea and the creatures that inhabit our oceans under threat. The relays actively seek support, research and implementation of technology and interventions aimed at addressing serious environmental threats.
Comments Dr Thea Van Der Westhuizen who heads up P4P in KZN and who is the driving force behind the local clean up, “We look forward to as many people as possible getting involved by holding mini events in their areas. We would also everyone to make a point of continuing the activation on certain days throughout the year.””
