DURBAN ENTREPRENEURS CLUB JUNE SPEAKER, SIHLE TSHABALALA – TURNING BAD TO GOOD

Guest speaker at the Durban EntSPEAKER - Sihle Tshabalalarepreneurs Club (DEC) meeting that will be held on Thursday, June 22 at the Durban Country Club ( 5.30 for 6.00 p.m.) is reformed criminal gang leader, Sihle Tshabalala, the Co-founder and CEO of Quirky 30 NPC and Quirky Innovations.
Founder of the DEC, Grant Gavin had the privilege of hearing Sihle speak at an event in Cape Town and said that he was “ blown away by his story. I just knew I had to get Sihle to Durban to inspire Durban entrepreneurs in the same way he is inspiring communities around South Africa. We are excited to host him for his first ever talk in Durban!” said Grant.
During his time in prison, Sihle became a key member of a prisoner initiated project that changed prison rehabilitation in South Africa. Since leaving prison, he co-founded Brothers for All and has become a key voice for his community and a game changer in teaching high school drop outs, teenage Mums, unemployed youth and ex-offenders – computer skills, coding, entrepreneurship and digital marketing.
In the last 4 years he has been the recipient of many awards, including being named the 2014 LeadSA Hero and the Mail and Guardian’s top 200 Young South Africans award. He is a TEDx Fellow and a Levi’s Pioneer Nation speaker.
